If you want to turn off the integrated sound card on the motherboard and use an independent PCI sound card, you must first turn off Pin1 and Pin2 of the JSD jumper on the motherboard. At the same time, the AC’97 Audio, MIDI port Address, and Game port Address in the BIOS must be set to Disable, so that the integrated sound card on the motherboard can be shielded. Then, install the new sound card on the motherboard and install the sound card driver in Windows.
